Mozaid is a non-profit making registered charity based in London. Funded by a Mozambican resident in the UK, the charity`s main objective is to advance education, relief of poverty, sickness and distress in Mozambique, particularly for school children in poor rural and deprived city areas.

The effect of both independence and civil wars and all the above natural calamities mean that the government does not have sufficient funds to re-build the schools since Mozambique became independent in June 1975. Therefore charities like MozAid are one of the only help rural people have and with your help more schools will be re-built for millions of children in need.

We started to raise funds to replace crumbling and dangerous school buildings at remote rural village schools in Maputo- Mozambique with durable, hygienic and weatherproof classroom blocks and new latrines.

We aim to build schools where it is mostly needed. This will provide deserving children a safe, stimulating environment which can have positive impacts on all areas of learning We believe there are many people like us who wish to contribute something of our wealth to benefit others.

We provide a safe and reliable conduit for people who want to help African children aspire to a brighter future, through access to a good education and improved health. MOZAID takes an integrated approach in its development work – aiming to combat poverty, to support children who are excluded of basic needs.

Education is the best way out of poverty. We believe there are many people like us who wish to contribute something for the benefit others – so we provide a safe and reliable conduit for people who want to help students in Maputo aspire to a brighter future, through access to a good education.
